Miyako in Granbury

I travel all over the country for a living and I eat a LOT of Asian food. This definitely did not disappoint!

Sushi was delicious, staff super friendly, decently priced for the quality of food and service. Open late too. Will come back.

Called and spoke to Frankie informing him we believe the Sushi got my husband sick. He was very unprofessional and unprepared for any situations like this. He informed me it must be the “stomach virus” going around Granbury. Did not offer any customer service or to even take down the information of what we ate to check his kitchen.

The food is excellent.

Surprisingly good quality especially for Granbury Texas.

Great food, great people, great restaurants experience

Great sushi and great hibachi, which I will admit I was expecting much less with it being Granbury. I always go here and have sushi but tonight we had hibachi and I'm glad we did it was great. Good service and I'm pretty sure we had the only white chef he was fairly new but he did great :-)

Good food, but the service was fantastic. Great lunch prices. Good portion size for Japanese food.

This place had delicious rolls with a good ambiance and service.The only unusual part was not having a separate sheet to order the sushi but that was a small inconvenience.We did not try the hibachi so I can't speak to that.

To be fair we went during "covid" so out selection was limited. I felt like it was good but nothing extraordinary. Everyone else seems to love it. I gave it four stats because I didn't feel like 3 was fair due to our current situation and limited options.

My wife and I have a date night here on special occasions, and we are never disappointed. The chicken katsu is great! Sushi is good. And, drink selection fits our needs.

Great food! We had the hibachi and the food was delicious. The guy cooking did a great job. The place is very clean too. They were constantly cleaning. We will definitely be returning to eat here.

Great Japanese food cooked on a hibachi grill. Maybe not as showey as Benihana in the metroplex with their veteran Oriental showmen but, you get bigger portions and the food is cooked very well. Great Japanese food.

Love this place! The sushi chefs are pros. Everything is always fresh and delicious.

The staff are great! The food was delicious and the hibachi cook was "AWESOME!!" according to my 3 year old.

The entire staff there was great! We enjoyed our experience there and even got to witness a proposal. Definitely will go again!

Great place to eat and bring your family to

I paid hibachi price for a teriyaki chicken entree which I ate at a normal table. But that’s fine so long as the food is good! This was not the case. It didn’t even look like teriyaki chicken. The sauce was bland and thin. The chicken and vegetables were bland. I got steamed rice because the fried rice was $3 up charge. Now I wish I had gotten fried rice because that would have been the only good thing I got on that entree.

The service and food is always unbeatable at this restaurant. Sushi is best I've ever had, and I've had sushi all the over the US!

We went for lunch with 95 year old mother in a wheelchair and friend for 1st time The hostess refused to seat us at the back of the Hibachi bar to accommodate the wheelchair We left. At Randy's Bar and Grill we were seated exactly where we requested and the service was awesome the food was great and the cost was half of the cost at Miyakos. We will never waste our time going to Miyakos again.

Amazing good tasting food despite being overpriced and very poor service. Still the cooks did their job. I just can't get over the poor service I'd expect better service considering the prices.

Have been here many times and it has really gone downhill. Their sushi is always good but the Hibachi is no longer worth the money. We had a large group and spent a lot of money for very small portions and overcooked meat. The man who cooked our meal barely interacted with us. Was hoping for better as we were celebrating my nieces birthday. We won't be back.

Amazing food and great service.

Sadly our experience as far as the food goes was awful. I'm not sure the reviewers who gave 5 ☆s have any idea what good Japanese food actually tastes like. Because this was not even close to editable. Although the service was good. The waiter was very attentive. Atmosphere was bland. Maybe add a few pictures to the walls? It's supposed to be a Japanese Resturant, right? Also watching the hibachi cooks was pathetically boring! Usually they entertain. Not so much at this restaurant. The bill although high, $95 for 2 people, we wouldn't have flinched had it been worth eating. Unfortunately we will not be eating here ever again.

This restaurant is first-rate and roomy, the menu was delicious and the prices were very reasonable. quickly, efficient service and very attentive waiters. I recommend this place.

cleanliness and helpfulness are not the main business of this establishment! I just visited and had to ask the manager 3 times to clean and sanitize tables and chairs. In addition, mens and ladies RR didn't have any paper towels! I could have sworn the CDC has guidelines for ALL restaurants to adhere to??? Isn't cleaning and having sanitized tables/chairs one of them? OMG - do NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!!!!!!!!

Great food, great service, and a great atmosphere.

The service was absolutely outstanding! Everyone is so kind and friendly but the individual who always stands out to us is our Hibachi Chef, David. Every time we go to Miyakos we always hope he is our chef. Outstanding employee and always a joy to have. Thank you so much David for making this one of our favorite places to go and is always worth the wait!

Hands down the best sushi in town! No matter when we go the food is always 💯! 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟🌟 rating doesn't do these guys justice! The service is as good as their food. Not over bearing but right there when you need them. All the specials are fantastic. Hibachi grill looks to be a great family experience even though we stick with the 🍣 sushi. Top restaurant in Granbury if your into the sushi scene 😎👍🏻.

This place never disappoints me. Always fresh and tasty. Great atmosphere. Wonderful staff.

The tempura shrimp was fine but the tempura vegetables were so greasy much of it was left on the plate. Also, prices were higher and the steamed rice was bland, sticky and not hot.

I didn't think I wanted to eat here but now I love it.

Fantastic food and great service

I wanted to like this place bc I love hibachi and it was my birthday. The cook used entirely too much soy when cooking. Nothing had its' own flavor other than salt bc of all the soy, a large puddle of soy left when i packed up my leftovers. Suggestions, use more butter whrn cooking and not near as much soy. :(

I've been coming here for years. I can't get enough of their food. Their sushi rolls are the best I've tried from anywhere! The atmosphere here is truly a romantic place.

Excellent food and service. Surprisingly priced, for a place with this kind of cuisine, and such a great atmosphere.

Very expensive for the amount of food. Hibachi shrimp had no flavor but the fried shrimp was pretty good. I'll go back for lunch but won't pay the dinner prices again.

I believe I am an only Japanese resident in Granbury so I must telll that they are not authentic.Firstly, why Chinese owner opened Japanese restaurant without knowing how Japanese dish look like? Secondly, if you wanna enjoy Asian Fusion, it would be a good place. But if you are keen to try authentic Sushi, please go to Mr.Sushi in Dallas or Ebesu in Plano. Lastly, their teishoku menu is weird. Why do they put so much curb things? In conclusion, they don't serve real Japanese food. Please just say "Asian Fusion Restaurant". Thank you.

Good lunch choices as well as full service Hibachi meals. Great to have this quality Japanese restaurant option in Granbury!

Horrible sushi! The sauce was completely unoriginal and very unappealing colors! Bright green and yellow and pink. $3 for a small salad with limp lettuce. Over $60 bill and more than half thrown away because it was so fishy! Why can't we just get a GOOD RESTAURANT in Granbury!

One of the best places we've had sushi from Las Vegas to Florida. No complaints.

The food was fantastic, the chef was very personable and very entertaining. The drinks were also very good. The shrimp and scallops were super good. I would definitely recommend it.

Great selection of cooked and raw sushi. I had the Kiss of Death it was spicy :) The Tempura vegetables were perfect and fresh. The service was good even at the bar. Not a cheap dinner, but good quality food done right. I will look forward to my next visit. Only beef is the seaweed salad was tiny... like 2oz tiny for 5.50, the other dishes I saw why they were priced as they do... not this. Still a 5 Star experience do it for a special occasion and it will be worth it.
